From roadmap to reality: Starter kits for organ-on-chip adoption
The last weeks had exciting news in store, on the 1st of June the EU released the roadmap towards phasing out animal testing for chemical safety assessments and on 15th of June the NIH announces the establishment of its new office to advance human-based research and reduce animal use (Office of Research Innovation, Validation, and Application – ORIVA).
We are thrilled by the developments and would like to play our part in increasing the momentum towards a wider adoption of non-animal methods.
Boosting adoption of organ-on-chip
In accordance with pillar 1 “Making changes happen”, of the measures proposed by the EU roadmap, we want to reduce some of the hurdles for researchers into the world of organ-on-chip. Researchers are often not held back by lack of interest, but by the perceived risk of getting started: cost, complexity, training needs, and uncertainty about whether the technology fits into existing lab workflows.

Terms & Conditions for Starter Kits
Starter Kits are currently available for our DynamicOrgan® Developer Kits, including the 2-Channel, 2-Channel precious, 3-Channel and Spheroid Kits with all membrane pore configurations. Glass bottoms, sensor technology and reagent kits are not included. Each user may purchase one kit per configuration and receive one free 2-month Online Academy license. The offer is valid until 31 August 2026 for customers in Europe.
