Organ-on-Chip Workshop & Lecture Series – TU Dresden

We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming Organ-on-Chip workshop and lecture series at TU Dresden.

When: Thursday, 16 October 2025

Location: CRTD, Fetscherstr. 105

Workshop Location – Meeting Room Ground Floor North – Room 0.212

Lecture Location – Auditorium Right Ground Floor – Room 0.316

The event will feature:

  • Hands-on sessions (1 hour, max. 7 participants each) on chip handling, cell loading, and perfusion setup
  • Informational lectures introducing organ-on-chip applications in research and industry

Spots for the hands-on sessions are limited. Please book early using this form.

Lecture schedule:

13:15 – 14:15

Joanna Nowacka: “How to start with organ-on-chip? “

Are you considering organ-on-chip for your research but concerned about complexity or time to adoption? This lecture provides a practical, step-by-step guide to developing your own organ model in the lab. Establishing a new method takes effort, but by starting simple and adding complexity gradually, organ-on-chip can be integrated as feasibly as any other technology. We’ll outline the essential first steps to help you build your own model from scratch.

14:45 – 15:45
Tim Kaden: “Real-World Organ-on-Chip Applications: Modeling Human Biology for Disease and Therapy Research”

This lecture will explore how the Dynamic42 organ-on-chip platform can replicate human biology to provide more physiological models to investigate relevant diseases, microbial infections, and drug-induced toxicity. Through these examples, we will illustrate how organ-on-chip technology will enhance our understanding of biological processes and can serve as a powerful preclinical tool for improved clinical translation.

We look forward to welcoming you at TUD!

About Dynamic42 GmbH

Dynamic42 develops immunocompetent, physiological organ-on-chip models that combine ISO-certified, medical-grade standards with ease of use for scientists. Spun out of the University Hospital Jena, we bring extensive expertise in disease and infection modeling. Our services include contract research in human models of vasculature, liver, intestine, cancer, and lung, as well as customized model development. In addition, we provide the DynamicOrgan System (our open organ-on-chip platform) and run both online and in-person training via the Dynamic42 Academy.
