We focus on quality: ISO 9001 Certification

At the end of September, we successfully passed the certification audit for our quality management according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015. The award underlines that we guarantee high quality standards in the development, production, and distribution of biochips as well as in the services of organ-on-chip models. By introducing comprehensive quality management, we are given new opportunities to improve our services of organ-on-chip models and development work continuously and efficiently on biochips.

Assurance of quality standards

Quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction determine the long-term success of the company. To meet the high demands placed on ourselves and at the same time to assert them against our clients, we continue to expand our quality management system. The certification of biochip development and production and biochip sales as well as the services of organ-on-chip models according to ISO 9001 creates transparency. Because here our services and standards become internationally comparable. For our work, the certification forms a good basis for the safe production of our biochip products and services with organ-on-chip models in accordance with legal requirements. New products are automatically developed under this standard.

How does an ISO 9001 certification work?

Certification is basically a procedure that confirms that specified requirements are met. ISO 9001 is the internationally recognized standard in the field of quality management for all companies, from start-ups to global corporations. A standard determines who is responsible for which quality-relevant activities and which procedures must be adhered and documented. The standard requires continuously improvement. In this way, the quality orientation always remains present in everyday business life.

We were audited as part of an external audit by Dekra Certification GmbH. For two days, an independent auditor tested whether all our processes meet the requirements of ISO 9001. In the next two years, internal audits by our quality management representative in the company as well as an external monitoring audit of Dekra will follow to maintain the certificate. After three years, the recertification is due with a new, comprehensive examination of all areas of our quality management system.
