Learn the skills to integrate organ-on-chip technology into your lab work with the Dynamic42 Academy. Our course offers hands-on trainings in the lab using Dynamic42 technology that are complemented by shorter theoretical sessions by leading experts in the organ-on-chip field. During the course, you will have the opportunity to speak to our lab scientists about the specific models and applications and learn how to best implement them in your lab. Our main goal is it to ensure that all participants can apply the technology in their lab after mastering the course. We do this by strictly limiting the number of participants per course, provision of in depth protocols and leaving room for your specific questions and lots of hands-on time with the equipment.
.
/ Theoretical lecture on organ-on-chip technology by industry experts
/ Sterilization and coating of biochips
/ Seeding of cells in biochips
/ Perfusion set-up with all necessary microfluidic parts
/ Medium exchange and sampling of organ model
/ Imaging of models via Immunofluorescence with different antibodies
/ Seeding of endothelial cells in biochips
/ Cleaning of biochip equipment
/ Troubleshooting of experiments
/ Medium exchange on static biochips
/ Permeability assays
+ some excellent lunches and evening activities to mingle with other participants and our scientists.
Topic: Cancer cells do not live on a plate. They are suspended in a 3D matrix where they interact with immune cells, fibroblasts and the vascular network. Organ chips allow us to recreate this complex tumor microenvironment. Learn how to set up cancer and immune cell interaction on a biochip using organ-on-chip technology.
/ Basic handling techniques of the Dynamic42 biochip
/ Integrate spheroids in a perfused vascular network within the biochip
/ Practice to embed and grow tumor structures in a 3D hydrogel inside a biochip
/ Observe immune cell invasion into a tumor via life imaging
/ Monitor how perfusion impacts all of these effects
Location: BioInstrumentezentrum Jena, Germany

The Dynamic42 Academy takes place at our facilities in Jena, Germany – an internationally renowned location of science in the middle of Germany.
The Academy is conceived particularly for scientists working in the fields of pharmacology, toxicology, oncology, pulmonology, pneumology, drug development and experimental virology. Our goal is to make the rapidly developing organ-on-chip technology quickly and efficiently accessible to broad areas of research and development. In the evenings, the scientific program will be completed with fun get-together to socials and exchange ideas.
Upon request, we design organ-specific courses for vascular biology, liver, lung, and intestine. Courses can also take place at your site. Let us know about your preferences in the form below, and we will be in touch shortly.
