ATHANA alliance for antifungal therapy approaches – First strategy workshop

ATHANA alliance for antifungal therapy approaches – First strategy workshop

The RUBIN alliance “ATHANA” (antifungal therapy approaches with nanoparticle-based targeting of drugs) met for their first strategy workshop one year after the project kicked off in summer last year.

The meeting was held at the Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology (Leibniz-HKI) together with Project Management Jülich (PtJ) represented by Mandy Görgen and Dr. Danny Vogel. The alliance members presented the status-quo of their research and discussed further steps within the project.

Dr. Knut Rennert (CEO and Co-founder Dynamic42) said:

It is particularly encouraging that the milestones were achieved within the agreed time frame and that a lively exchange between the ATHANA partners has been established and expanded over the past year.

As to further enhance transparency and communication around the projects, a redesign of the ATHANA homepage was released.

We thank all ATHANA partners, SmartDyeLivery,  Dyomics, BioControl Jena GmbH, Jena Bioscience GmbH, Universitätsklinikum Jena, HAPILA GmbH for a year of great collaboration and the Thüringer ClusterManagement, represented by Dr. Britta Wlotzka, for support of the project.
